“I Came for the Dance – I Stayed for the Healing” – Tanya, 27

Updated: Jul 25

I saw a flyer on Instagram about Friday Freestyle Mornings, and something in me said, just go. I’ve never been into therapy, and I don’t talk about my past much. But I do love music and movement, so I thought I’d try it out.

Those mornings quickly became my safe space. I didn’t have to explain myself. I just had to show up. Over time, I started to feel more connected—not just to the music, but to my emotions.

Now I’ve booked 1-to-1 sessions with Lorell, and she’s helping me work through deep emotional blocks I didn’t even realise I was carrying. This space is powerful. It gave me permission to heal my way.

In the end, the path to wellness is a personal journey. Each step taken in a supportive environment can lead to profound change. Together, we can foster a community of healing and hope for women affected by domestic violence.
